This basis of this site is my view of what surrounds us. Our surroundings are beautiful and amazing. Each day I open myself up to be in awe of something -- a simple flower pushing up next to the marble steps in my neighborhood, a full moon, a child's eyes. These are all God's creations and should be treated as prized gifts to us. Our role should be as appreciators, protectors and nurturers of the environment and all life.

My background is a mix of art and science. I've lived near the ocean and in the city. All of these influences will be evident on the Nook. I am treating the Nook as a virtual salon. You are invited to respond, contribute and share as you see fit. Desert Hawk has been my creative partner in the logo design. He also shares in the creative primordial soup that fuels this site. My thanks go out to him. All problems with the site are entirely mine, however. Enjoy.
